Q: How can Insight Salon Software improve my business?
A: Insight helps you get on top of your business from every angle. The main purpose of Insight is to help you track everything in your salon from sales to managing employees.
Insight will help you focus on increasing sales by focusing in on areas such as client retention, average values and income from future appointments.

Q: After I purchase Insight, do I need to pay any other fees?
A: No. When you purchase an Insight Salon & Spa Software License, there are no hidden costs or charges as you are buying it outright. Along with the software, we also give you free technical support/software updates for a whole 12 months and a free remote/internet 1 Hour training session to get you started.

Q: How do I know if your software will be suitable for my business?
A: To make sure that our software is suitable for your business, we offer you a trial version of Insight that you can use for up to 100 transactions in your salon in real time, so that you can fully test it yourself. Once you are 100% satisfied that the software it appropriate for you and your business, call us to see if we have any promotions on offer.

Q: Is Insight an Accounting or Financial Software?
A: No. Insight is a fully integrated Salon Management software. Financial Management and Business Management are two different software and will do two different things. However, to help you streamline your Insight software, we have teamed up with the worlds No#1 selling account software 'QuickBooks'. Insights QuickBooks Add-On allows you to post your revenue and expenses directly into QuickBooks to prevent double entry. See our QuickBooks Add-On page for more information.

Q: Can Insight help to become a better manager and increase staff performance?
A: Yes, Insight has an inbuilt employee performance feature that breaks down each employee’s sales achieved services/products for the day, week and month. Plus, Insights reporting feature includes various employee performance reports that indicate who is performing well for your business, based on the amount of sales they achieve, clients they rebook and services they perform.

Q: Does Insight Support On-line Booking?
A: Yes. This is an Add-On feature that allows you to offer flexibility to your busy clients who book at odd hours or simply like the ability to book from your website. Intuitive and built from the business owners’ perspective, Insight Real Time Online Booking is a feature that will keep your appointment book full while maintaining security and efficiency.

Q:What Type Of Database Does Insight Have Built In?
A: Our database is fully SQL compliant. We use the Advantage Database Server which has all the same advantages of SQL but without the added cost for standalone computer.

Q: Can Insight Handle Multi Location & Central Administration?
A: Yes. The Multi-Location (Enterprise) version of Insight allows certain database files to be common (clients, service, employee, and inventory) but keeps all of the location specific data completely separate (sales, appointments, quantities on hand, orders, etc.) That way each location has access to all the client info if the clients move from one location to another and staff can work at more than one location. Gift cards can be purchased at one and redeemed at another easily. All of the locations have their own inventory quantities and can set their own pricing for products and services but when you add a new product or service into the database it will be available from all locations without having to enter it in to all the other database files (if something is not offered at a certain location you can indicate that so it wont show up in their system). This version cuts down on a lot of the data entry and gives you total flexibility. A new location can be added and set up in a matter of minutes as opposed to days of data entry for a standalone system.

Q: Can I use Insight from home or another location without buying another software license?
A: Yes. Whe
n you purchase Insight, You get one licensed version to be used at your business address. This is where your business activity is established. If you want to work on your business marketing, create reports or send it off to your consultant to see how your business is progressing, you have the option to backup and work on your business by opening this backup on a non-licensed demo version of insight. If you make changes and want this reflected in the business computer (licensed version), you need to then backup and restore this on the business computer.


Hardware – Point Of Sale

Q: I want to buy my own Point of Sale Hardware, would it work with your software?
A: Remember that there are many hardware manufacturers and many hardware importers. This is the reason why the POS hardware we supply has been tested to work with Insight and that you won't have any problems. If you want to purchase your own POS hardware, let us know and we will give you the model numbers and brands of those that are compatible.

Q: Is your software touch screen compatible?
A: Yes, Insight is fully interactive and compatible with touch screen monitors. There are many makes models and types of touch screens depending on its use. Please call us before committing to any high end POS equipment to save you time and money.


Hardware – Computer

Q: I have my own IBM Compatible computer. Would it be compatible with Insight Software?
A: Almost any new computer running windows operating system 200 or higher with a 1024x768 screen resolution will run Insight. Be careful buying screen displays less than 14", as they may not display the minimum screen resolution. The best way to test an old computer would be to test it with our Insight trial software. Remember that the older the computer, the slower Insight will run, especially with point of sale hardware connected.

Q: I have a apple Mac computer, is it compatible with Insight?
A: Insight was only designed to be running on an IBM Compatible computer, however you can run Insight on a Mac with "Boot Camp" or "VM Ware Fusion" emulator installed. We have many clients that use Insight with a Mac with no problem.


Training

Q: What are my options for training when I purchase Insight?
A: We offer both phone/remote training and on-site training (where available). Insight is extremely user friendly and easy to learn. In fact we only need to offer clients basic training to point you the right direction. This ensures that after the training session you know enough to go about customizing the software to your own business needs. Our training also includes basic setup of your software and any hardware you have purchased from us, to insure that you are maximizing on your investment.

Q: Are there any On-going Insight training?
A: Insight continuously evolves and grows with your business. After a basic training session, and advanced session can booked by calling our office.


Support

Q: Do I have to pay monthly support or maintenance fees?
A: Your support fee is included in your initial purchase of Insight for the first 12 months. If you want to keep getting support and software updates in future years there is an upfront payment or a monthly payment option.
